I’m an award-winning writer-editor who has been freelancing for over two decades. I’ll write about or edit anything that interests me. However, most of my activity for the last while has gone in two directions: writing/editing educational materials for doctors and other healthcare professionals; and writing/editing articles about design, decor, architecture, and gardens for two shelter magazines. In addition, I’ve recently returned corporate communications into the mix.
In the science-medicine area, my best talents are being able to find the core message in a sea of information, and not being afraid to ask questions. In the shelter magazine area, my best talents are finding the living story behind the inanimate object, and telling the story in an informative but light (and occasionally humorous) way. In corporate communications . . . well, all of the above.
Whatever the topic or the medium, I’ll provide clear, engaging, and accurate prose that doesn’t need copyediting (being an editor as well as a writer has its advantages). I’m perennially curious and am not content to settle for whatever’s just good enough.
This site is a work in progress that still lacks a few bells and whistles. For the moment, you can contact me and find out more about me through either my LinkedIn page:
